Equipped with Scag’s Velocity Plus deck, the Cheetah is available in deck sizes ranging from 48” up to 72”. A solid performer, the Velocity Plus deck leaves an ultra-smooth, clean cut behind it. Triple layered high strength steel makes the deck top nearly ½” thick. Heavy duty blade spindles withstand daily abuse and come with a 3 year limited warranty. The Custom Cut Baffle allows the operator to adjust it for the job or mowing conditions. Two 12” rear-mount anti-scalp rollers protect the turf in uneven terrain.

Engines from 22HP – 36HP are available from Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler, and Briggs Vanguard. Dual fuel tanks give the Cheetah a 15 gallon (10 gallon on 48” and 52” models) fuel capacity to keep you mowing on the job for hours without refueling. A heavy-duty Ogura clutch, dual integrated Hydro-Gear transaxles, and a large capacity hydro system all help the Cheetah achieve its high performance. The Scag Cheetah is known as “The Fastest Cat on Earth”. The 61” and 72” models feature a two-speed selector allowing the operator to switch between high and low speeds. At top speed, the Cheetah can reach 16 mph in high speed and 12 mph in low speed.

Comfort is a major feature of the Cheetah with the suspended operator system being the key element. The operator platform is suspended with a coil over shock isolating it from the effects of rough terrain. Ride can be customized from firm to soft for operator’s preference. The steering levers are also adjustable for the operator’s preference and height.
